Job Description

To ensure the smooth daily operation and upkeep of hotel staff accommodation, providing a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for all employees. The Accommodation Attendant is responsible for supporting accommodation arrangements, conducting regular inspections, assisting employees with accommodation-related matters, and ensuring compliance with the hotel's accommodation standards, policies, and procedures.

• Assist in coordinating employee accommodation arrangements, including room allocation and preparation for new joiners.
• Ensure accommodation rooms and facilities are ready prior to employee check-in.
• Support employee check-in and check-out procedures.
• Monitor room occupancy and report any discrepancies to the HR Department.
• Ensure accommodation facilities are properly maintained and organized.
• Accommodation Standards and Inspections
• Conduct regular inspections of staff accommodation rooms and common areas.
• Monitor the overall condition, presentation, hygiene, and functionality of accommodation facilities.
• Ensure that employees comply with staff accommodation rules and regulations.
• Identify and report maintenance requirements, damages, and facility-related concerns.
• Follow up with the relevant departments to ensure timely resolution of reported issues.
• Employee Relations and Support
• Act as a point of contact for employees regarding accommodation-related requests and concerns.
• Provide professional assistance to employees and ensure their concerns are communicated to the relevant HR personnel.
• Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with all residents.
• Assist in resolving minor accommodation-related issues in accordance with hotel policies.
• Respect employee privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Facility Maintenance and Housekeeping Coordination
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Housekeeping Departments regarding maintenance and housekeeping requirements.
• Ensure common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and shared facilities are maintained in proper condition.
• Monitor the availability of essential accommodation supplies and report shortages.
• Ensure that any damages, safety hazards, or operational issues are reported promptly.
• Health, Safety and Compliance
• Ensure staff accommodation complies with hotel health, safety, hygiene, and security standards.
• Conduct routine checks to identify potential safety hazards.
• Ensure proper waste management and general upkeep of accommodation facilities.
• Report incidents, complaints, or breaches of accommodation policies to the HR Department.
• Support the implementation of hotel accommodation policies and procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel accommodation, housekeeping, or facility operations is preferred.
• Previous experience in a hotel environment is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer and reporting skills are an advantage.
• Good command of English; additional languages are beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
