Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment (Site Supervision) to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key authority on safety matters, overseeing and managing safety, health, and environmental compliance across our operational sites. You will be responsible for ensuring all activities align with UAE regulations and international best practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, risk awareness, and inclusive safety engagement. Your analytical mindset, decisive approach, and collaborative spirit will be essential in driving safety excellence and protecting our workforce.
  • Conduct regular and thorough site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety protocols, procedures, and programs tailored to site-specific operational requirements
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with transparency and precision; document findings and recommend evidence-based corrective and preventive actions
  • Deliver engaging safety training and awareness programs to site personnel at all organizational levels, ensuring knowledge retention and behavioral change
  • Ensure strict compliance with UAE occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies across all operations
  • Maintain organized and detailed safety documentation, records, and reports for regulatory review and internal accountability purposes
  • Collaborate effectively with site management and operational teams to integrate safety into daily work activities and decision-making processes
  • Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to identify emerging risks and develop targeted, data-driven improvement initiatives
  • Conduct comprehensive hazard assessments and risk evaluations for new projects, processes, or equipment implementations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related concerns, demonstrating empathy while maintaining assertive standards; escalate critical issues to senior management promptly
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, safety consultants, and industry partners, as needed
  • Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site, promoting a culture of accountability and responsibility

Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles with demonstrated site supervision responsibilities
  • Proven track record conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar operational environments
  • Strong, current knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in analyzing safety data, identifying trends, and developing evidence-based improvement strategies
  • Excellent communication and training skills with demonstrated ability to engage and influence personnel at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, maintain, and manage detailed safety documentation and comprehensive compliance records
  • Hands-on experience with safety management systems and internationally recognized best practices
  • Strong decision-making capabilities in high-pressure situations involving safety concerns and risk mitigation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software platforms
  • Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and adapt to site-based operational demands
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills with internal and external partners
  • Certification in occupational health and safety (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) - Preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 or similar international safety management standards - Preferred
  • Experience with environmental compliance initiatives and sustainability programs - Preferred
