Air Cargo Services Manager

Apt Resources is seeking a dedicated Air Cargo Services Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of air cargo operations of a leading international airline. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing air cargo services, ensuring efficient handling, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. You will act as a key liaison between clients, airline partners, and ground handling teams to facilitate smooth cargo movement. This position is based in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily air cargo operations, including shipment coordination, cargo handling, and logistics planning.
• Ensure compliance with international and local regulatory requirements related to air cargo transportation.
• Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs officials, and ground handling agents.
• Oversee loading and unloading processes to ensure cargo safety and timely delivery.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Monitor cargo inventory and manage documentation, including airway bills, customs declarations, and related paperwork.
• Supervise and train staff involved in cargo operations to maintain performance standards.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare regular operational reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in air cargo operations and management.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, cargo security, and customs procedures.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage complex logistics processes.
• Proficiency in cargo management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
• Candidate has to be in UAE at present.
