Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil / Marine to join our team!

In this role you will support the Resident Engineer in the day-to-day construction supervision and coordination of civil and marine works, including dredging, reclamation and marine edges.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supervise and coordinate civil and marine construction activities, including dredging, reclamation and marine edges.
• Monitor Contractor activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, quality and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate engineers and inspectors undertaking site inspections and testing.
• Review method statements, technical submissions, materials, RFIs and inspection requests.
• Resolve day-to-day construction issues and coordinate interfaces between civil, marine and other disciplines.
• Monitor progress, identify constraints and report key issues to the Resident Engineer.
• Support quality, progress, site records, snagging and handover activities.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 12+ years' relevant construction supervision experience, including civil and/or marine works.
• Experience with dredging, reclamation, marine edges and associated civil/infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, inspection, quality and HSE requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Experience in an Assistant Resident Engineer or similar construction supervision role.
• Experience on major marine, waterfront, civil or infrastructure projects.
• UAE/Middle East construction supervision experience.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary site teams and Contractor activities.
