Key Responsibilities – Automotive Electrical Assembly & Installation

  • Install and route wiring harnesses, electrical components, and control systems on heavy vehicles and truck chassis in accordance with engineering drawings and assembly standards.
  • Perform electrical connections for lighting systems, batteries, sensors, switches, relays, and control panels, ensuring proper functionality and reliability.
  • Conduct electrical testing using multimeters and diagnostic equipment to verify system performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify electrical faults during assembly, testing, and production stages.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support installation and fault-finding activities.
  • Support the integration of vehicle electrical systems, including 12V/24V DC circuits and CAN bus communication networks where applicable.
  • Ensure all electrical installations meet quality requirements, safety regulations, and company manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Automotive Electrical, or a related technical discipline.
  • Working knowledge of DC electrical systems (12V/24V) and vehicle electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Knowledge of CAN bus systems will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, truck manufacturing, or industrial electrical assembly.
