Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop prospective freight forwarders, cargo agents, importers, exporters, trading companies, and logistics customers.
- Generate new business leads through client visits, cold calling, referrals, networking, and market research.
- Promote air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation solutions.
- Develop cargo movements through Sharjah (SHJ), Dubai International (DXB), Al Maktoum International (DWC), and Abu Dhabi (AUH), as well as international trade lanes.
- Achieve assigned monthly sales, cargo tonnage, revenue, and gross profit targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business growth.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate rates, follow up on sales enquiries, and convert leads into confirmed business.
- Coordinate with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth cargo handling and timely service delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, freight rates, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
- Maintain an updated customer database, sales pipeline, visit reports, and regular sales performance reports.
- Follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with the accounts team and ensure compliance with company credit policies.
- Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase shipment volumes and overall customer profitability.
