WHO WE ARE

OliOli was our first pioneering project - a children’s museum that redefined play and learning by creating immersive galleries for open-ended exploration. Building on this foundation, we are now bringing Hoppi - a new play destination for families - coming soon to a new mall in Abu Dhabi.

Hoppi is designed especially for children aged 2–8, combining active physical play experiences with engaging, hands-on exhibit zones. It is a space where children can play, imagine, and explore, while parents enjoy a safe, enriching, and welcoming environment.

Hoppi aims to be a beloved family destination in Abu Dhabi, adding joy, creativity, and playfulness to the lives of families.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS ALL ABOUT

The Café Server role in Hoppi will be to work alongside the other members of the staff to successfully run the Café and ensure customers’ expectations of food, beverages and customer service are met. This may include the aspects of café operation including equipment, facilities, health and safety, customer-care, and administration. The role will involve working with the management team to achieve the best possible quality of food and beverage provision.

WHAT WE'LL TRUST YOU WITH

Cafe Management and Coordination

·      To set maintain, highest standards of customer service in café.

·      To provide cover with the other staffs as required on a daily basis.

·      To take responsibility for the presentation of food and beverages offered for sale and completion of admin duties.

·      To be responsible for the monitoring and control of stocks and wastage, undertaking stock take at regular intervals with the assistance of management team.

·      To work with the management team, on other projects as required.

·      To ensure good timekeeping and performance by staff, and to comply at all times with security procedures.

·      To assist the management team, to maintain the standards of hygiene and health and safety at all times and throughout all the catering options.

Financial Management

·      To operate the till and take receipt of payments.

·      Ensure all cash and credit card transactions are completed according to company directives.

Health & Safety

·      To comply with all Health and Safety policy, measures and legislation.

·      Follow all Health and Safety policy, measures and legislation.

·      Ensure the safe operation of the café and use equipment in a safe manner.

·      Maintain the security of café and equipment.

·      Assist with Risk Assessments and Method Statements where required.

·      Report all safety matters to the Manager.

Customer Service

·      To assist with customer enquiries and orders.

·      To welcome customers and ensure their orders are processed efficiently.

·      To work within reason to minimize customer complaints and maximize customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE

·      Ability to work 6 days a week including weekends and public holidays.

·      Previous experience as a server within a customer focused environment.

·      Pleasant and confident customer service and communication skills.

·      A willingness to learn new systems.

·      High energy levels with cheerful disposition.

·      Willingness to understand and engage the public about the range of activities at Hoppi.

·      Ability to be calm and positive when dealing with complaints or difficult situations.

·      An interest in working in a child-friendly environment.

·      Willingness to undertake appropriate training such as first aid or food hygiene.
