Role Overview

The Cashier is responsible for processing guest transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering a professional and welcoming customer experience. This role plays an important part in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations through excellent attention to detail, integrity, and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Handling & POS Operations

• Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately using the POS system.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Report any payment discrepancies to management promptly.
  
  

Guest Service

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Answer guest inquiries regarding payments, bills, and promotions.
• Resolve basic payment-related concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  
  

Operational Support

• Coordinate with service and management teams to ensure accurate billing.
• Assist with takeaway and delivery order payments when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional cashier station.
  
  

Standards & Compliance

• Follow company cash-handling procedures and financial controls.
• Adhere to hygiene, safety, and company policies at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.

Candidate Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment.
• Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, honesty, and strong teamwork skills.
