The Cashier will be responsible for managing the day to day cash of the company.
Responsibility Description
Responsibilities
- Accepts cash, checks for paytransactions according to set procedures.
- Manages cash and issues receipt for funds received.
- Maintains the petty cash and provides statements on the usage.
- Prepares the Sales Report and forwards the same to the Accountant.
- Is responsible for the sticker sales and delivery of stickers to the counter.
- Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
Self Development
- Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
- Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with Senior Accountant to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
- Sets the performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
- Ensures effective implementation of approved implementation policies and procedures across the Human Resources department within set timelines to facilitate achievement of organizational objectives.
- Understand and embrace the corporate information security framework and perform duties according to the policy, procedures, standards and guidelines
Quality Management and Continuous Improvement
- Ensures compliance to all relevant quality management procedures and controls to guarantee compliance and delivery of high quality products/service.
- Stimulates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Bachelor in any field or a Diploma holder
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience with similar role and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of cash handling.
