This site-based role requires strong civil engineering knowledge, practical construction supervision experience, and the ability to coordinate daily site activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising civil works on large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects, preferably including data center or technically complex construction environments.

You will play a key role in monitoring contractor performance, supervising civil activities, tracking progress, identifying site issues, supporting inspections, and ensuring that civil works are completed in line with project quality, safety, and schedule expectations.

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, site engineers, consultants, QA/QC teams, HSE teams, and project management representatives.
  • Review daily site activities and ensure that manpower, materials, equipment, and work fronts are properly coordinated.
  • Monitor contractor progress against approved schedules, look-ahead plans, and daily work targets.
  • Identify site constraints, quality issues, coordination gaps, and construction risks, and escalate them to project leadership when required.
  • Support inspections by coordinating with QA/QC teams and ensuring civil works are ready for inspection and testing.
  • Verify that civil works are completed in compliance with approved inspection and test plans, quality procedures, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Monitor site safety practices and ensure civil activities are carried out in accordance with project HSE requirements.
  • Review and comment on civil method statements, shop drawings, inspection requests, material deliveries, and site documentation as required.
  • Assist in resolving technical queries, RFIs, design clarifications, and site coordination issues related to civil works.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records, including progress updates, manpower reports, site observations, inspection status, and issue logs.
  • Support the preparation of progress reports, site updates, punch lists, NCR follow-up, and closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT/ELV, and commissioning teams, to ensure proper interface management.
  • Support testing, handover, snagging, and closeout activities for civil works.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and timely issue resolution across site activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in civil supervision, site engineering, construction supervision, or civil construction management within large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects.

  • Experience supervising works such as earthworks, concrete, foundations, structural elements, blockwork, finishing works, drainage, external works, utilities, and roads.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, structural drawings, specifications, method statements, shop drawings, inspection requests, and technical documents.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, QA/QC teams, HSE teams, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to monitor progress, identify delays or site constraints, and support corrective actions.
  • Strong awareness of site quality control, inspection processes, NCR follow-up, punch list management, and handover requirements.
  • Good understanding of construction safety practices and the ability to reinforce safe working conditions on site.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in Dubai, the UAE, or the wider GCC region.
  • Experience working in a PMC, consultant, owner's representative, or client-side supervision environment.

  • Knowledge of document control and project management platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Oracle Primavera Cloud, BIM 360, or similar systems.
