Commis II

As a Commis II, you will assist in the daily preparation and cooking of food items within your assigned kitchen section. Working under the supervision of senior chefs, you will follow standard recipes and production procedures while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. This role is designed to strengthen your culinary skills and support the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items according to standard recipes.

Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and mise en place.

Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, and portioning as required.

Follow instructions from Commis I, Demi Chef de Partie, or Chef de Partie.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen section.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Properly store, label, and rotate food items using FIFO procedures.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions.

Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients.

Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.

Support timely preparation of food during service periods.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the senior kitchen team.
