A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its Diagnostic Imaging services and is seeking a highly qualified Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. Role Overview
- Position: Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist
- Location: United Arab Emirates
- Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty Hospital with Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Department
- Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
- Practice Model: Inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging with multidisciplinary collaboration
The successful candidate will interpret a wide range of imaging studies while providing expert diagnostic opinions and supporting clinical decision-making across various medical and surgical specialties.
Qualifications & Board Recognition
Applications are welcome from physicians holding recognised specialist qualifications such as:
- American Board of Radiology
- UK CCT / FRCR
- European Board Certification
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian Fellowship
- Arab Board
- MD, DNB, DrNB, FCPS, or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DHA / DOH / MOH licensing. Licensing guidance and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities – Diagnostic Radiology
- Interpret and report diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography according to clinical indications and international standards.
- Review imaging findings and provide accurate diagnostic opinions to support patient management and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, oncologists, neurologists, orthopedic specialists, and emergency medicine teams for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Recommend additional imaging investigations when clinically appropriate to improve diagnostic accuracy.
- Supervise image-guided diagnostic procedures and support minimally invasive interventions where applicable.
- Ensure timely reporting of emergency and critical findings while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, reporting systems, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure quality assurance, radiation safety compliance, and adherence to departmental protocols.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and continuing medical education.
- Mentor junior radiologists, residents, and radiographers where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical medical practice standards, and hospital policies.
