We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine with proven Head of Department (HOD) leadership experience to join a leading healthcare institution in Dubai. The role combines advanced clinical expertise in emergency medicine with strategic leadership, departmental management, and a commitment to delivering world‑class patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Emergency Medicine Department, ensuring high standards of clinical care and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert diagnosis and management of acute medical and surgical emergencies across all age groups.
- Supervise and perform advanced emergency procedures including airway management, trauma resuscitation, cardiac emergencies, and critical care stabilization.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, protocols, and evidence‑based practices.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management of medical and nursing teams.
- Mentor, train, and support junior doctors, residents, and allied health professionals.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to optimize emergency care pathways.
- Lead departmental audits, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Represent the department in hospital committees and external professional forums.
- Medical degree with specialization in Emergency Medicine.
- Board certification or equivalent in Emergency Medicine.
- Minimum 10–15 years post‑specialization experience, including proven HOD or senior leadership role.
- Eligibility for licensing with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma, resuscitation, and critical emergency procedures.
- Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages an advantage.
