Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Physician specializing in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents, with a strong focus on preventive healthcare, developmental assessment, chronic disease management, and psychosocial well-being. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric and adolescent medical conditions, including acute, chronic, developmental, and behavioral disorders.
  • Provide preventive healthcare services, including immunizations, growth and developmental monitoring, and health screenings.
  • Manage adolescent-specific health concerns such as mental health issues, eating disorders, lifestyle-related diseases, and reproductive health education.
  • Develop individualized care plans focused on physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Provide family counseling, patient education, and guidance on adolescent health and development.
  • Promote health awareness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices among patients and families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with DOH and hospital regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
  • Contribute to academic teaching and training of junior medical staff where applicable.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatrics or Adolescent Medicine.
  • Fellowship or Board Certification in Pediatrics or relevant subspecialty.
  • DOH License or DOH Eligibility Letter preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in Pediatrics or Adolescent Medicine.
  • Strong expertise in adolescent healthcare, preventive medicine, and developmental pediatrics.
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medical practice.
