A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its Pediatric and Child Health services and is seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatrician to join its multidisciplinary clinical team. The position focuses on delivering comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare to infants, children, and adolescents within a modern healthcare environment supported by advanced diagnostic facilities and specialist pediatric services.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, emergency physicians, and allied healthcare professionals to provide integrated, family-centered care while promoting child health and wellness.

Role Overview

  • Position: Consultant Pediatrician
  • Location: United Arab Emirates
  • Healthcare Setting: Multispecialty Hospital with Advanced Pediatric Services
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
  • Practice Model: Outpatient clinics, inpatient pediatric care, newborn assessment, and emergency pediatric consultations

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care for children from birth through adolescence while emphasizing preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and evidence-based management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.

Qualifications & Board Recognition

  • American Board of Pediatrics
  • UK CCT / MRCPCH
  • European Board Certification
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian Fellowship (FRACP)
  • Arab Board
  • MD, DNB, DrNB, FCPS, or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DHA / DOH / MOH licensing. Licensing guidance and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities – Pediatrics

  • Provide comprehensive medical care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents through evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric illnesses, including infectious diseases, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, allergies, endocrine disorders, and developmental concerns.
  • Conduct detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and age-appropriate developmental assessments.
  • Monitor growth, nutrition, developmental milestones, and behavioral health while ensuring timely intervention when required.
  • Perform routine well-child examinations, immunizations, preventive health screenings, and health promotion activities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care to ensure continuity of pediatric services.
  • Counsel parents and caregivers regarding nutrition, breastfeeding, vaccinations, child safety, developmental milestones, and disease prevention.
  • Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests to support clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, neonatologists, surgeons, therapists, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and continuing medical education.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical medical practice standards, and hospital policies.
