We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and comprehensive mental healthcare. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric and mental health disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based psychiatric interventions.
• Diagnose and treat depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other complex psychiatric conditions.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including treatment effectiveness and adverse effects.
• Provide psychotherapeutic interventions and psychiatric counseling within authorized clinical privileges.
• Manage psychiatric emergencies, suicidal risk, acute psychosis, and behavioral crises.
• Coordinate care for patients with substance use disorders and coexisting psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, social workers, and multidisciplinary mental health teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and relapse prevention.
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, patient confidentiality, mental health legislation, and clinical safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification or residency training in Psychiatry.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification in Psychiatry.
• American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and complex mental health management.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, leadership, and patient counseling skills.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant Psychiatry classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements
