Consultant Radiologist - Breast Imaging

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of breast imaging studies, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures.
• Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports in accordance with international best practices and quality standards.
• Perform image-guided breast interventions, including biopsies, aspirations, and localization procedures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer meetings and collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and primary care physicians.
• Ensure compliance with breast screening protocols, radiology quality standards, and patient safety requirements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of breast imaging services across SEHA Clinics.
• Supervise and support radiology technologists and junior medical staff as required.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Breast Imaging is required.
• Certification by an internationally recognized board (Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board, UK CCT or equivalent).
• Valid DOH License as Consultant Radiologist or eligibility to obtain DOH licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of post-board/fellowship experience in Breast Imaging at a consultant level.
• Proven expertise in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and breast interventional procedures.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
• Previous experience within an accredited breast screening or breast cancer program is highly desirable.
