A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Rehabilitation Medicine specialist to join its multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, and functional disabilities, focusing on restoring mobility, improving independence, and enhancing quality of life through comprehensive rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with physical disabilities, functional impairments, and rehabilitation needs.

2. Develop individualized rehabilitation plans for patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, and orthopedic conditions.

3. Manage rehabilitation programs for stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and other complex conditions.

4. Coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation services involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists.

5. Evaluate functional abilities, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation progress using standardized assessment tools.

6. Provide medical management of chronic pain, spasticity, and neuromuscular disorders.

7. Recommend appropriate assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and mobility aids.

8. Perform rehabilitation-related procedures and interventions within the approved scope of practice.

9. Educate patients and families regarding rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care.

10. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.

11. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and professional development activities.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

• Recognized postgraduate specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

• Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent qualification in Rehabilitation Medicine.

• Valid DHA License or Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain one.

• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience meeting UAE PQR requirements for the Consultant title.

• Strong expertise in neurological, musculoskeletal, and functional rehabilitation.

• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
