A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join its specialized medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of rheumatic, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal disorders while delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and manage rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout, vasculitis, and other autoimmune disorders.

2. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and interpret relevant laboratory and imaging investigations.

3. Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic rheumatological conditions.

4. Prescribe and monitor disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic therapies, and immunosuppressive medications.

5. Perform joint aspirations, intra-articular injections, and other rheumatology-related procedures when indicated.

6. Monitor disease progression, treatment effectiveness, and medication-related complications.

7. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, nephrologists, dermatologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care.

8. Educate patients and families regarding disease management, lifestyle modifications, and long-term treatment.

9. Manage complex autoimmune and inflammatory disorders using evidence-based clinical practices.

10. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.

11. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous professional development.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent recognized medical qualification.

• Recognized postgraduate specialization in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, or an equivalent approved training pathway.

• Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification in Rheumatology.

• Valid DHA License or Eligibility Letter, or eligibility to obtain one.

• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience meeting UAE PQR requirements for the Consultant title.

• Strong expertise in autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders.

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
