Data Center Network & Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Network & Automation Engineer to implement, operate, and automate enterprise and data center networks. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Cisco ACI and Python-based network automation.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabrics, including APIC, leaf and spine switches, tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, and contracts.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, REST APIs, and JSON/YAML to streamline provisioning and configuration validation.
• Prepare and execute Methods of Procedure (MOPs), including implementation steps, testing, and rollback plans.
• Validate VLANs, IP addressing, network ports, and out-of-band management connectivity.
• Support network migrations, server onboarding, incident resolution, and operational handovers.
• Maintain configuration standards, network documentation, and implementation records.

Required experience and skills

• At least 5 years of data center network implementation experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Cisco ACI operational experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus 9K, NX-OS, switching, routing, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
• Hands-on Python programming and network automation experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, particularly Cisco APIC APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and Ansible.
• Knowledge of load balancers and firewalls.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• CCNP Data Center, Cisco ACI, or Cisco DevNet certification.
• CCIE Data Center certification is an advantage.
