Demand Planner – Private Label
Mumzworld.com
Date: 2 hours ago
City: Dubai
Contract type: Full time
Role Overview
Mumzworld is looking for a Demand Planner to build and own forecasting and inventory planning for our Private Label products from the ground up. This isn't about maintaining an existing process; it's about designing one from scratch and scaling it as our own-brand portfolio grows across categories and markets.
You'll be the person who makes sure our Private Label products are in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity without tying up cash in excess stock.
What You'll Do
Forecast demand
Build forecasting models for Private Label SKUs across categories and seasons factoring in promotions, seasonality, and new product launches. Own accuracy, bias, and stockout metrics from day one.
Plan inventory and supply
Manage the full replenishment cycle purchase orders, lead times, minimum order quantities, and safety stock so we avoid both stockouts and overstock. Keep an eye on aged and excess inventory to protect margin and cash flow.
Plan new product launches
Work closely with category management, sourcing, and production teams to plan launch timelines, so new products hit the shelf on schedule and ready to sell not delayed or under-stocked.
Bring data and better tools into planning
Move the function away from manual spreadsheets by introducing forecasting tools and scenario modelling. Partner with Category, Supply Chain, and Data teams to drive real adoption, not just a one-time rollout.
Build reporting and alignment across teams
Set up dashboards and a regular planning cadence (S&OP) so the business always has clear visibility into supply and demand. Represent the Private Label planning function across Sourcing, Commercial, Marketplace, Marketing, and Finance.
What You'll Need
Private Label is one of Mumzworld's strongest drivers of margin and customer trust. This role is about building — from first principles a smarter, more resilient planning engine that keeps our own-brand products reliably available for the mothers and families who count on us. You'll own the daily planning rhythm, represent supply and demand across the company, and help shape the future of one of Mumzworld's most important functions.

What You'll Need
- 5–8+ years in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or S&OP - ideally with experience building a planning process from scratch, not just running one that already exists.
- Background in private label, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce.
- Experience managing SKU portfolios end-to-end, including new product introductions and lifecycle/discontinuation planning.
- Strong analytical skills comfortable in Excel, ERP systems, and BI tools.
- A practical, data-driven approach: you know where automation genuinely helps and where it doesn't.
- Forecast accuracy improves; stockouts and excess inventory go down.
- Sell-through rates and new product launch success rates go up.
- Inventory turns and working capital efficiency improve.
- Planning tools are adopted and manual work is reduced.
- Supply and demand stay aligned across sourcing, logistics, and commercial teams.
