Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Director of Operations to join a dynamic 5-star beachfront resort in the UAE.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving the resort’s day-to-day operations, guest experience and overall performance across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Recreation, Engineering and other operational areas.

This opportunity would suit a hands-on and engaging hotelier who enjoys being close to the operation, working collaboratively with teams and creating memorable experiences for both guests and Heartists.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead and support the daily operation across the resort.
• Drive a consistent and high-quality guest experience across all touchpoints.
• Work closely with Heads of Department to maintain strong operational standards.
• Ensure effective collaboration between Rooms, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, Recreation and Guest Experience.
• Support guest recovery and resolution of operational challenges with sound judgement.
• Champion high standards of safety, hygiene and operational readiness.
• Coach and develop operational leaders while building a culture of accountability and teamwork.
• Contribute to commercial performance through productivity, cost awareness and revenue opportunities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the resort.
  
  

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

You May Currently Be Working As A:

• Director of Operations
• Executive Assistant Manager – Operations
• Hotel Manager / Resident Manager
• Senior Rooms or F&B leader with broad operational responsibility
  
  

Ideally, You Will Bring:

• Previous experience in an upscale or luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Strong exposure to high-volume resort operations.
• Experience within a large property, ideally 300+ rooms or equivalent operational complexity.
• Sound knowledge of both Rooms and Food & Beverage operations.
• Experience with multiple F&B outlets, events and banqueting.
• Exposure to beach, pool, recreation or wellness operations would be an advantage.
• UAE / GCC experience is strongly preferred.
• International hotel brand experience.
• Strong understanding of guest experience, service recovery and hotel financial performance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven operational leadership experience within international hotels or resorts.
• Experience leading multiple operational departments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Comfortable using hotel systems, guest-feedback platforms and operational reporting tools.
  
  

Qualifications or experience in HACCP, Food Safety, Health & Safety, Fire Life Safety, crisis management, beach or recreation operations, pre-opening or refurbishment projects would be an advantage.
