Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller to join our team on-site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling all project documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility. The ideal candidate will maintain meticulous records, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure all site documentation adheres to established protocols and regulatory requirements. This is a critical position that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced site environment.
- Manage and maintain comprehensive document control systems for all site-related documentation, including drawings, specifications, permits, and correspondence
- Implement version control procedures to ensure all team members have access to current and accurate documents
- Organize and archive project records in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to collect, review, and distribute documentation
- Perform quality assurance checks on all incoming and outgoing documents to verify completeness and accuracy
- Maintain detailed logs and indexes of all project documents for easy retrieval and reference
- Ensure compliance with local Abu Dhabi regulations and industry standards for document retention and handling
- Prepare and update document control reports and status summaries for project management
- Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies and inconsistencies in a timely manner
- Support the onboarding process by providing new team members with necessary documentation and procedural guidance
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar document management role, preferably in a site-based environment
- Strong proficiency with document management systems and MS Office applications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Professional communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams
- Familiarity with construction, industrial, or project-based documentation standards
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and document retention protocols
- Preferred experience with project management software and digital document management tools
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of document control processes
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic site environment
