Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Essential Functions
- Assists in overseeing the maintenance and operation of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functioning.
- Conducts regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Responds promptly to all engineering service calls, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to guests.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Facilitates a positive team environment, ensuring team members feel valued and recognized.
- Supports training initiatives within the department, enhancing team skills and knowledge.
- Assists in managing the engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Adheres to all Hilton standards, ensuring consistent quality and service.

- Assists in testing all fire prevention systems regularly to ensure hotel safety.
- Helps in supervising daily maintenance and repair works, maintaining the hotel’s premium standards.
- Participates in the selection and evaluation of new team members, fostering a skilled and motivated team.
- Ensures compliance with security and safety regulations, maintaining awareness of local law and risks procedures.
- Contributes to team leadership through ongoing learning and development.
- Supports in scheduling and manpower planning to balance operational needs with team welfare.
- Oversees contractor and service provider work, ensuring quality and adherence to contracts.
