Fixed Income Specialist

A regional investment bank is hiring a Fixed Income specialist to join its Market Making team. This is a junior-level role within the Fixed Income function of the markets business, suited to candidates with hands-on experience across fixed income instruments and market-making environments.

The role carries a budget of AED 25,000 – AED 30,000 per month. Candidates currently based outside the UAE are welcome to apply, provided they can commit to a clear and reasonable relocation timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Support market-making activity across fixed income instruments including government bonds, corporate bonds, rates, swaps, mortgage-backed securities, and credit derivatives
• Manage and monitor the bond book, including inventory positions and risk exposure
• Handle bids, offers, and asks with speed and precision in a fast-paced trading environment
• Manage client flows and ensure accurate execution and booking
• Work closely with Relationship Managers and Sales to support client-facing activity
• Maintain a strong understanding of liquidity conditions across relevant markets
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience with bonds and other fixed income instruments
• Solid understanding of liquidity dynamics within fixed income markets
• Practical experience with bids and offers, risk management, bond book management, and client flow handling
• Experience working in close collaboration with RM or Sales teams
• Investment banking background preferred
• Exceptional speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Comfortable operating under pressure in a high-velocity trading environment
• Candidates relocating from abroad considered, subject to a clear and reasonable timeline
