Floor Manager - Carpentry

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious partner contracting for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.

Operations Manager to oversee, direct and coordinate all department activities. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies.

To ensure that team members perform their duties in compliance with company polices and procedure.

Manpower and resources are used in workshop to meet standards in a cost-effective way. Ensure a safe and healthy working condition by adhering company health and safety policy.

Main Accountabilities

Planning

• Overseeing complete activities of the department and ensuring all the resources required for the projects are enough and efficiently used and to develop the teams to gain productivity.
• Manage Fabrication, assembly, build up and dismantling activities. Overseeing Planning and schedule to ensure efficient delivery of project. Ensuring team allocation, shift and work timing required are set to meet the project delivery deadlines
  
  

Process

• Workout and implement standard fabrication methods/procedures. Departmental process is to be followed to achieve quality and better productivity.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
• Implement and enforce quality control and inspections to meet quality objectives and to make sure the quality is controlled and inspect on every stage of fabrication process.
• Ensure that product is prepared as per the drawings/best practices of the department.
  
  

Maintenance (Machinery)

• Organizing the repair and routine maintenance machines and equipment's and keep records. => Make sure all machine from the Department to run any time during the peak season. (Metal working machine. Painting machine…)
• Manage the CNC department and its activities, ensure that all the machines are thoroughly maintained.
• Ensure all Manual wood working machines are up and running all the time.
  
  

Maintenance (Standard Elements)

Ensure the maintenance of all the standard elements kept in stock and make sure material is always ready to be deployed. (walls, platform, steel frame …)

Material follow up

• Ensure that there is proper flow of raw material and materials from the suppliers to do the production. (PR, PO follow up, Material availability…)
  
  

People management

• Recommend resources and training, to ensure that the organization can meet future demands from the department
• Make sure all the news comers in the department received a proper training to be efficient after 3 months. (Process, Fabrication methods, Best Practices policies,)
  
  

Coordination

• Coordinate with associated department for their scope of work to meet delivery schedule
• Conduct regular meeting with interdepartmental operation managers to discuss ongoing projects and site build up scheduling
  
  

Administrative task

• Oversee that all requests forms from production are sent on time (L.O.F, purchase request, manpower requirement) additional resources must be requested in advance to accomplish the project on time.
• Monitoring raw material flow
• Keeping Track and record of outside labor
• Manage employees annual leave
  
  

Cost control

• Ensure that given budgets are followed for the cost-effective delivery of the projects.
• Make sure every Manpower/material resource are used properly. (no Waste)
  
  

Knowledge & Experience

Number of years of Experience:5 years in exhibitions and events field

Education:Graduate

Languages:English and Hindi

Systems:Auto cad knowledge.
