Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to support packaging artwork, graphic design, artwork development, and related operational requirements within an FMCG/manufacturing environment.

The Graphic Designer will work directly under the Graphics Supervisor in performing all packaging and artwork requirements while maintaining the standards of the product and company. The role creates visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. The key role is to develop the overall layout of packaging designs and other collateral materials.

Job Responsibilities:

Artwork Updates – Layouts and Languages

• Ability to work with multiple languages, typographical elements, and strict legal requirements.
• Work with carton artwork to ensure consistency is maintained across all product ranges to reflect the premium brand.
• Have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to proofread and highlight issues, along with a strong visual sense and confidence to present and explain ideas.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Take ownership of jobs to ensure they meet all requirements and deadlines.
• Keep thorough records to ensure all jobs are completed.
• Maintain good record-keeping ability and organizational skills.

Design and Development

• Ability to perform top-notch graphical layouts based on requests for a wide variety of subjects while maintaining brand guidelines.
• Have a keen eye for the exact requirements and specifications of designs and be able to handle tasks through to the ultimate goal.
• Follow up on the proofing and development of artwork with suppliers until final approval.
• Oversee all aspects of a project, from concepts through to final artwork, either independently or as part of a team.

Operational Support

• Help with in-house operational activities, such as production requirements, new product development, and sampling requirements.
• Liaise across all departments within the organization for packaging design.
• Understand management requirements and prepare presentations for management, maintaining top-notch professional standards with high-end graphics.
• Be responsible for generating ideas, creating visual concepts, and delivering all requirements within the mandated objectives and timelines.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Graphics.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in graphics and artwork development.
• Experience handling multiple languages and proofreading artwork.
• Experience working with Mac systems.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator, Quark, or other visual design tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in a commercial printing and/or packaging environment.
• Experience within the FMCG/manufacturing industry, preferably within an MNC environment.
• Certificate or Diploma in Packaging.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
• High level of personal motivation and ability to work on own initiative.
• Understanding of differences and diversity, with respect for individuals and the ability to maintain necessary confidentiality.
• Understanding of the need to promote a people-oriented company culture.
