The Context

Etihad Airways, the UAE's national carrier currently executing its ambitious Journey 2030 growth strategy, is looking for a Guest Transport Planner to lead planning, control, and optimization of its guest transportation operations. The role bridges strategy and execution, translating demand forecasts into capacity plans while managing vendor performance and ensuring a premium end-to-end guest experience.

What The Role Covers

Demand Forecasting & Capacity Planning

You develop demand forecasts using analytical data, flight schedules, marketing trends, and historical patterns, translating them into optimized transportation schedules and capacity plans. You proactively identify and mitigate capacity risks before they impact service delivery.

Real-Time Operations Control

You monitor daily transportation operations, proactively resolving capacity gaps, delays, and service disruptions. You coordinate response to irregular operations and anticipate risks across the network to maintain service continuity.

Vendor Management & SLA Performance

You actively manage vendor performance, ensuring SLA compliance across on-time performance, service quality, and responsiveness. You drive corrective actions when deviations occur and maintain strong relationships through regular reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

You produce and analyze operational reports to enable data-driven decisions, track KPIs, and implement improvements that enhance both service efficiency and guest experience quality.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or operational planning
• Strong UAE geographical knowledge
• Experience in real-time operations control and vendor coordination
• Aviation or mobility service environment background preferred
• Understanding of in-house and outsource transportation management, including financial impact and operational logistics
