You will be part of our Food & Beverage team, working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Team Leader to deliver a seamless and memorable dining experience. This role collaborates daily with service associates, ensuring smooth operations, strong communication, and a consistently high level of service across the restaurant.
As a Host/Hostess, you are the first and last impression of the restaurant. You play a key role in shaping each guest’s experience by creating a warm welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service.
You will act as a central point of communication between guests and the service team, anticipating needs and supporting the team to deliver thoughtful, personalised service. In the absence of the Manager or Team Leader, you will take ownership of the restaurant operation, ensuring standards are upheld at all times.
- Welcome guests with genuine warmth, escort them to their tables, and create a positive first impression
- Manage reservations, guest flow, and seating arrangements to ensure a smooth dining experience
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to deliver personalised and attentive service
- Communicate VIP arrivals and special requests to the team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant and hostess station at all times
- Support the team by monitoring service standards and stepping in to ensure consistency when needed
- You have at least 6 months’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a luxury or upscale restaurant
- You naturally connect with people and enjoy creating positive guest experiences
- You stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail
- You are a team player who communicates clearly and supports colleagues when needed
- You are confident handling guest requests and resolving concerns with professionalism
- You are fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
