We are seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Specialist to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing, treating, and preventing infectious diseases, providing expert care for patients with complex infections and supporting effective infection prevention practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
- Evaluate and treat complex infections, including sepsis, tuberculosis, and multidrug-resistant infections.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and optimize antimicrobial therapy.
- Interpret microbiology reports, cultures, and other relevant diagnostic investigations.
- Support infection prevention and control initiatives within the healthcare facility.
- Advise clinical teams on antimicrobial stewardship and appropriate antibiotic use.
- Collaborate with microbiologists, intensivists, and other specialists in managing complex cases.
- Monitor treatment outcomes and provide follow-up care for patients with infectious diseases.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow established clinical protocols.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine or an equivalent qualification, with DM/DNB or equivalent specialization in Infectious Diseases.
- Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.
- Experience in managing complex infections and antimicrobial therapy.
- Strong clinical judgment, analytical, and communication skills.
