Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Inspector Civil/Finishing to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive site supervision, quality control, and compliance verification on civil and finishing works. You will ensure that all construction activities meet established standards, building codes, and project specifications while maintaining meticulous documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough inspections of civil and finishing works to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction standards
- Supervise on-site activities and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
- Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain comprehensive records of all site activities and observations
- Analyze construction materials, methods, and workmanship to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Verify that all work meets UAE construction regulations, building codes, and project requirements
- Communicate inspection results and project updates to project management and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
- Monitor site safety compliance and ensure all personnel adhere to established safety procedures and regulations
- Resolve construction-related issues and discrepancies through collaborative problem-solving with relevant parties
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to assess work quality and progress
- Maintain organized records of inspections, test results, and compliance documentation for project archives
- Proven experience in civil engineering inspection or site supervision on construction projects
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and UAE-specific regulations
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to analyze construction quality and identify compliance issues
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Knowledge of civil and finishing construction materials, methods, and best practices
- Ability to make sound decisions and resolve construction-related conflicts professionally
- Proficiency in report writing and technical documentation
- Preferred experience with project management software or AutoCAD
- Preferred experience working on construction projects in the UAE or Middle East region
- Preferred leadership or team coordination experience
