THE TEAM
You will be joining the talented culinary team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi, working under the guidance of our Sous Chefs. You will become part of a passionate group of culinarians dedicated to culinary excellence, creativity, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation in every dish we serve.
YOUR ROLE
In this role, you will be an essential part of our kitchen, ensuring that every dish that leaves your section meets our exacting standards. By preparing food items with precision, maintaining a pristine work environment, and upholding strict sanitation protocols, you will directly contribute to the exceptional dining experiences we create for our guests. Your dedication ensures the soul of our cuisine is honored in every plate.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
Prepare food items in your assigned kitchen section according to standard recipes, ensuring the highest quality level at all times.
Ensure that mise-en-place is prepared perfectly to meet the needs of the shift.
Maintain and assist in the cleanliness of all food preparation equipment, adhering to sanitation standards set by Rosewood Abu Dhabi and local authorities.
Follow proper uniform and control procedures to ensure quality, portion control, and a safe working environment.
Ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area, storing all items properly at the end of your shift.
Handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor, and respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
COULD THIS BE YOU?
You have a high school diploma and a passion for starting your career in the culinary world.
You are a clear thinker who can follow directions thoroughly and perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
You have a basic understanding of culinary techniques and a strong desire to learn about local and international cuisines.
You work cohesively with your colleagues as part of a team and can prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
You possess strong listening skills and can satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to ensure their needs are understood.
You are flexible with your work schedule and able to exert the physical effort required in a busy kitchen environment, including standing for long periods.
