About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and talented Analyst to join a public markets investment team based in Dubai. This is a high-impact role offering direct exposure to senior members of the investment team, with growing exposure to firm leadership over time.

Investment ideas are generated using a top-down, macro-driven approach and are primarily expressed through public equities, with a particular focus on technology and financial services. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take on responsibilities that extend well beyond the scope of a traditional equity research role.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate investment ideas across global markets using a top-down approach
• Conduct fundamental analysis and company valuation
• Undertake macro research on countries, sectors and themes, with particular focus on major trends, technology, fintech and emerging sectors
• Report on portfolio company earnings and corporate actions
• Carry out on-the-ground research
• Produce investment recommendations and written reports
• Build and maintain relationships within the investment community
• Collaborate with other business functions, including trading and private markets, on deal sourcing and execution

Candidate Requirements

• Degree from a leading academic institution
• Typically 3-4 years' experience in investment research, asset management, equity capital markets, investment banking, or a closely related field
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken
• A demonstrable "X-factor" - clear evidence of high performance in professional and personal life
• Strong relational skills, with the ability to represent the organisation professionally with external parties
• A genuine passion for financial markets and business
• A proven ability to execute and deliver results
• A polished, professional and articulate communication style
• Ability to work at pace and manage multiple priorities
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A hungry, growth-oriented mindset and the ambition to take on responsibilities beyond a traditional research analyst role
