Zahr Freighters is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This position is ideal for an ambitious accounting professional who is eager to develop their career while supporting daily financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance professionals to ensure efficient and accurate financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform bank reconciliations and verify financial transactions.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Maintain the general ledger and organize financial documentation.
• Assist with VAT documentation, tax records, and audit preparation.
• Update accounting software and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and financial records.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance; fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
