The Role
The Barista role for Pret A Manger ensures excellent Barista prepared drinks quality, knowledge, understanding and amazing service with Pret “Buzz”. The Barista ensures efficient back counter operation, cleanliness, maintenance and team training. The role guarantees that customers always receive the drink they expect
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all coffee and hot beverage training materials are accurate, accessible, and kept up to date.
- Actively engage with customers and team members to promote the coffee range, menu offerings, and brand story, creating an enthusiastic and welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication when calling and serving beverage orders.
- Deliver high-quality latte art and exceptional presentation standards to enhance the customer experience.
- Prepare all barista-crafted beverages in line with established recipes, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and serve as a role model for beverage preparation standards and best practices.
- Monitor and manage ingredient usage to minimize waste and support cost-control objectives.
- Work towards agreed weekly beverage sales targets and communicate progress with the team.
- Maintain awareness of beverage sales performance, including contribution to overall sales and product mix, and support initiatives to drive growth.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Enthusiastic, positive, and eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Passionate about coffee, customer service, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a Barista role.
- Ability to work flexible shifts within a 24-hour operating environment.
- Available to commence employment in October 2026.
- Willingness to be based and work in Abu Dhabi.
