Job Description
We're looking for a talented and innovative Landscape Architect to join our Urbanism + Planning studio the United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling landscape designs while overseeing their successful implementation from concept through completion. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to deliver high-quality outdoor spaces that balance aesthetic vision with practical functionality and environmental sustainability. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic market while contributing to the region's evolving urban landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts and master plans for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, utilizing industry-standard design software and tools
- Conduct detailed site analysis and feasibility studies to inform design decisions, considering climate, soil conditions, water management, and local environmental factors specific to the Abu Dhabi region
- Create technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation that clearly communicate design intent to contractors and stakeholders
- Manage the design development process from initial concept through final construction documents, ensuring consistency with project objectives and client requirements
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate landscape solutions into broader project frameworks
- Analyze and incorporate sustainable design practices, including water conservation, native plantings, and climate-responsive strategies
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback and refining concepts through iterative design processes
- Oversee project delivery by coordinating with contractors, conducting site inspections, and ensuring quality standards are maintained during implementation
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery
- Stay current with industry trends, design innovations, and local regulations affecting landscape architecture practice in the UAE
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with demonstrated expertise in design and project delivery
- Advanced proficiency with 3D visualization tools (SketchUp, Revit, or similar BIM platforms)
- Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, spatial planning, and site analysis methodologies
- Experience with GIS software and digital mapping tools for environmental analysis
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for presentation and visualization purposes
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainable landscape design practices and environmental stewardship
