Job Description:

The Lead Account Manager – UAE (Level 5) is a senior, customer-facing role responsible for owning and expanding a portfolio of high-value defense and security accounts within the United Arab Emirates. As part of a collaborative UAE account management team, this position drives strategic growth, ensures customer satisfaction, and protects existing revenue streams within assigned accounts or sectors. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for their designated customers, managing all aspects of the account lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract execution and long-term relationship management.

This role supports a portfolio of systems and solutions within the L3Harris Communications & Spectrum Dominance Segment, including Tactical Communication Systems, Night Vision Equipment, C4I/C5ISR systems, Tactical Data Links, and other advanced communication equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the principal relationship manager for a defined portfolio of major UAE accounts developing and executing comprehensive account strategies to achieve annual operating plan (AOP) targets and long-term growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain trusted, high-level relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring proactive, in-person engagement and responsiveness to evolving customer needs.
  • Identify, qualify, and drive pursuit of new business opportunities, including contract extensions, upgrades, and new program phases across the supported portfolio.
  • Lead the development of tailored proposals, manage complex negotiations, and ensure alignment with customer requirements and organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of offset requirements and their impact on negotiations, collaborating with internal offset management teams as needed.
  • Work closely with other UAE account managers, technical, engineering, legal, and program management teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure successful program execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer priorities to inform business strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to account retention and growth, ensuring continuity of business and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates on account status, pipeline development, and forecasted revenue to senior leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or extensive military background in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in defense, security, or technology account management, with a proven track record of managing high-value, complex customer relationships in the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated success in leading account strategy, business development, and contract negotiations for large-scale programs.
  • Strong understanding of defense and security solutions, including communications, C4I/C5ISR, night vision, and tactical data link systems.
  • Familiarity with offset requirements and their role in defense industry negotiations in the UAE or broader GCC region.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the UAE and region as required.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to be based in Abu Dhabi.
  • As L3Harris is a U.S.-based company, willingness to support flexible working hours as required when communicating with main offices.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in Arabic.
  • Experience working with or within UAE government or defense organizations.
  • Experience using or strong understanding of tactical communication systems (e.g., L3Harris Falcon III Radios), C4I/C5ISR, night vision, and tactical data link systems.
  • Ability to craft professional and compelling presentations in alignment with pursuits
  • Strong experience with Artificial Intelligence
