Job Objective
- The Lead Project Engineer - Package Delivery is accountable for managing post-order execution of engineered packages, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with contractual and project requirements, and alignment with Required on Site (ROS) dates. This role involves vendor documentation control, manufacturing progress monitoring, logistics coordination, technical issue resolution, inspections, and site readiness. The position requires close collaboration with vendors, internal and client engineering disciplines, QA/QC, procurement, and logistics teams to maintain quality standards and mitigate risks.
Vendor Document Review:
- Coordinate multidisciplinary review of vendor documents (engineering, QA/QC, HSE) internally and with Client teams
- Understanding of the Key Vendor Documents, which will have a major impact on the delivery and prioritizing approval
- Ensure timely submission, review, and approval of vendor documentation per project schedule
Manufacturing Progress Monitoring:
- Track vendor manufacturing progress through expediting reports and factory visits
- Validate claimed progress against actual milestones; certify for payment purposes
- Escalate delays and implement corrective actions with vendors
Logistics Coordination:
- Develop and monitor delivery schedules to meet ROS dates
- Coordinate packing, shipping, and customs clearance with logistics teams
- Ensure compliance with Incoterms and project logistics requirements
Technical Issue Resolution:
- Liaise with engineering, QA/QC, and client teams to resolve technical and quality issues
- Communicate resolutions to vendors and ensure timely implementation
Inspection & FAT Coordination:
- Manage Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM), inspections, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Support inspection teams and expedite FAT completion
- Ensure punch list closure before shipment
Site Delivery & ROS Compliance:
- Ensure packages are delivered before ROS dates
- Coordinate vendor engineer mobilization for installation and commissioning support
Expediting Reports & Communication:
- Review and validate expediting reports before circulation
- Maintain transparent communication on delivery status, risks, and mitigation plans
Vendor Performance Evaluation:
- Monitor vendor responsiveness and contractual compliance
- Highlight performance gaps and recommend corrective measures
Risk Management & Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks impacting delivery and propose mitigation strategies
- Drive proactive actions to prevent delays and cost overruns
Change & Variation Control:
- Ensure all changes and variations are documented, approved, and communicated
- Coordinate with Procurement and SCM for PO amendments and schedule updates
- Monitor cost and schedule impacts; escalate risks promptly
- Act as a focal point between Engineering, Procurement for compliance
Compliance:
- Ensure vendor activities comply with HSE, QA/QC, and project standards
- Verify adherence during manufacturing and expediting phases
Flawless Delivery:
- Using Lessons Learned plan to deliver right first time, flawlessly
- Deliver tight, deliver clean
- Anticipate potential flaws and work with all parties to avoid those flaws
Whole of Life Accountability:
- The role will ensure that the care, custody and control of the supplier equipment is effective throughout all phases of the equipment lifecycle through to hand over to the customer. This includes: Preservation and Commissioning

Expected:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably in Mechanical Engineering)
- 15+ years of experience in package delivery within EPC/EPCM environments
- Strong knowledge of vendor documentation processes, manufacturing workflows, logistics, and Incoterms
- Experience in ADNOC Shutdown
- Familiarity with QA/QC standards, inspection protocols, and international codes
Skills:
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and complex interfaces
- Proficiency in progress tracking and reporting tools
- Excellent problem-solving and risk management capabilities
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
