Job Description:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support our logistics, inventory, purchasing, and supply chain operations in the aviation aftermarket industry. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Dubai office, suited to someone who works with accuracy and keeps shipments moving on schedule.
In this role, you will coordinate the movement of goods, track shipments, manage inventory records, and work with suppliers, carriers, and customers to keep the supply chain running. Aviation industry experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of goods to customers and warehouses.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or delays.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers about shipment status.
- Prepare shipping documents and customs paperwork, including HS Code classification.
- Coordinate air freight and handle the related documentation.
- Manage inventory and keep accurate inventory records.
- Handle purchasing processes and support customer service inquiries.
- Improve transportation routes and logistics processes to reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Analyze logistics data and prepare reports for management.
Requirements:
- Experience in inventory management, logistics, purchasing, and customer service.
- Experience with air freight coordination and HS Code classification for shipping documentation.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving ability and a practical approach to delays and exceptions.
- Basic proficiency with logistics and inventory software tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Previous experience in the aviation industry or related sectors is an added advantage.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Additional Notes:
- This is a hands-on role where accuracy and follow-through matter on every shipment.
- You will move between logistics, inventory, purchasing, and customer service, so comfort switching tasks helps.
- Aviation experience is beneficial but not required; we value attention to detail and reliability.
