Job Brief:

Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping documentation, customs clearance, transportation arrangements, and material deliveries for interior fit-out and construction projects in Dubai.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, working with clearing agents and transport providers, maintaining accurate logistics records, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to warehouses and project sites.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on logistics and shipping experience within the interior fit-out or construction industry, with strong knowledge of region's import/export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and government shipping portals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, shipping manifests, storage plans, and inventory arrival records.
• Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and efficient shipment movements.
• Communicate shipment details, estimated arrival times, and delivery schedules to Warehouse Supervisors, Site Project Managers, and other relevant personnel.
• Coordinate with customs clearing agents to ensure timely clearance and delivery of materials to warehouses and project sites.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and provide regular updates to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager.
• Arrange special shipping and transportation solutions based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Prepare and process final disbursement account documents, expense summaries, and shipping cost estimates for the Accounts Department.
• Provide accurate shipping documentation to carriers and logistics operators to prevent clearance and delivery delays.
• Use government portals to process shipping clearance documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist the Logistics Manager in preparing logistics reports, including daily discharge summaries, and responding to requests from vessel operators or owners.
• Coordinate company vehicle registration renewals and manage drivers' duty schedules and shifts.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous logistics and shipping experience in the interior fit-out or construction industry is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of region's import/export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and shipping documentation.
• Hands-on experience using government portals for shipping clearance and documentation.
• Experience coordinating shipments, transportation providers, clearing agents, and material deliveries.
• Familiarity with Bills of Lading, shipping manifests, and other logistics documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with warehouses, project teams, subcontractors, and external logistics service providers.
• Strong organisational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
