Role: Manager - Wholesale Finance Operations
Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:


Spearhead day to day operations for Corporate Assets and Contracting Finance Operations Department as per Sharia’a guiding principles through SOP’s to ensure smooth functioning of the operations in executing circa AED 15B to 19B payment disbursements for WBG, CFIB, BBD, PB,WM, & Real Estate customers efficient and effective manner.


  • Operational process for e2e financing and disbursement of customer request as per the limit and approval
  • ADIB compliance to CB UAE regulations and guidelines Wholesale finance business
  • Robust risk and controls framework supporting the critical high ticket size business WBG deals
  • Sharia compliance to policy and associated sharia board fatwa’s
  • Accuracy in documentation checking and validations to safeguard ADIB from operational losses and risk
  • Effective & satisfactory control and audit review
  • Digitalization & process improvement to improve / enhance customer experience
  • People management




  • The said role is critical to lead and manage operational support in order to contribute in achieving ADIB’s vision and strategy to be the key and successful player in the local and international market in Wholesale finance domain

    Key Accountabilities of the role



    • Instrumental in implementing Corporate, Contracting and Real Estate Finance deals for various Products including Itisnaa, Wakala, Murabaha, Musharka, Mudaraba Muswama and Ijarah to ascertain better workflow.

    • Proficiently steering the team and accordingly working as Unit Head for seamless functioning of activities leading to optimal growth for the bank.

    • Supervising and monitoring the implementation of syndication Transactions after sale services and rollovers in close coordination CFIB Team and CCD- Risk Management


    • Drafting monthly reports for business and finance department along with analyzing monthly reconciliations for all associated GL suspense accounts and sub-GL accounts under unit ownership.

    • Streamlining the preparation of monthly reports of Operations Risk Management System, "KRI" Key Risk Indicators, MIS, and IT reports, thus submitting the same to the senior management.

    • Accountable for processing disbursements and booking transactions of new corporate facilities.

    • Evaluating and draft agreements in synchronization with CAD and Sharia department.

    • Liable for supervising and array of activities associated with all after sale services.

    • Analyzing and accomplishing restructuring approvals in liaison with Business and Risk Management Group.

    • Support International Locations across all products classes

    • Complete Adherence with Sharia law and ensure processes are aligned in line with ADIB Sharia guidelines and regulatory guidelines.


    • Embedding controls to ensure that the transactions are processed with proper due diligence as per ADIB’s Financing Policy guidelines.


    • Ensuring product level UATs on projects of Wholesale Finance that includes system parameter change, integration, strategic projects considering end to end from Operations perspective.


    • Ensure staffs have been nominated for necessary trainings and management programs to improve their capabilities.

      Periodic review of operational processes to improvement efficiency and controls thereby to enhance customer’s experience.

    • Identification of root causes for complaints and setting the best innovative solution to make the process smoother and developing new ways to deal with problems & opportunities.







    Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:


    • Excellent Knowledge of Sharia principals in Islamic Finance
    • Expertise in Islamic Financial Products
    • Good technical knowledge of bank system’s ability to write BRD’s
    • Effective leadership, strong communication skills and ability to lead bank –wide relationships to meet customer and internal stakeholder requirements
    • Good understanding of legal contracts
    • Excellent relationship Management skills
