Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Sharjah

Salary: AED 8,000 – 12,000

Job Code: 145/001/554

Industry: Industrial / Manufacturing

Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to take overall ownership of the marketing function for established industrial/manufacturing businesses in Sharjah.

The role is responsible for developing and executing the annual marketing strategy, managing the marketing team and external resources, strengthening the company brands, supporting commercial growth, and ensuring marketing activities are aligned with the priorities of the Sales Director and wider business.

This is an ownership role. The Marketing Manager is expected to establish priorities, develop plans, allocate responsibilities, monitor execution, and ensure agreed marketing activities are delivered without requiring day-to-day direction from the Sales Director.

Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Ownership

  • Develop the annual marketing strategy aligned with company sales targets and strategic priorities.
  • Translate commercial objectives into quarterly and monthly marketing plans.
  • Own the annual marketing calendar covering digital campaigns, exhibitions, product launches, customer communications, and corporate activities.
  • Identify marketing opportunities proactively and present recommendations to management.
  • Establish priorities between the businesses based on business requirements.
  • Ensure marketing activities directly support commercial development rather than operating independently from Sales.

Team Leadership

  • Manage the Marketing Executive and SEO/Digital Marketing resource.
  • Define responsibilities, priorities, deadlines, and expected outputs for each team member.
  • Conduct regular marketing team meetings and activity reviews.
  • Monitor performance and address gaps in delivery.
  • Develop the capabilities of the marketing team through coaching and structured responsibilities.
  • Determine the most effective allocation of responsibilities within the department and recommend future resource requirements based on workload and business needs.
  • Manage external agencies, photographers, designers, printers, and other marketing suppliers where required.

Brand Management

  • Own and protect the company brand identities.
  • Ensure consistent presentation across websites, social media, exhibitions, presentations, literature, signage, and other communications.
  • Continuously improve the professional positioning of the companies within their respective markets.
  • Maintain appropriate brand guidelines, templates, and approved marketing assets.

Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Own the overall digital marketing strategy covering websites, SEO, social media, Google campaigns, and other relevant channels.
  • Set objectives and KPIs for SEO and digital marketing activities.
  • Review website performance, search rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Ensure digital marketing activities focus on commercially relevant target markets and customer segments.
  • Develop campaigns around strategic products, capabilities, sectors, and geographic markets.
  • Work with Sales to establish mechanisms for capturing, qualifying, and following up on marketing-generated enquiries.

Content Strategy

  • Own the company content strategy and marketing calendar.
  • Establish appropriate content themes for the businesses.
  • Ensure consistent production of high-quality project, product, capability, and corporate content.
  • Identify opportunities for case studies, customer stories, technical articles, videos, and industry features.
  • Review and approve external marketing communications before publication.

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Work closely with the Sales Director and Sales team to understand strategic customers, markets, products, and opportunities.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns supporting priority sales initiatives.
  • Ensure Sales has current, professional, and technically accurate presentations, brochures, datasheets, and other collateral.
  • Support strategic customer presentations and major business development initiatives.
  • Develop marketing support for new product launches and market-entry activities.

Exhibitions & Events

  • Own the annual exhibition and event marketing plan.
  • Establish objectives, budgets, and expected outcomes for exhibitions.
  • Manage exhibition preparation, including booth concepts, graphics, promotional materials, digital communications, and logistics.
  • Ensure pre-event marketing activity is completed to maximise customer engagement.
  • Coordinate event content and communications.
  • Conduct post-event reviews covering leads, engagement, costs, outcomes, and lessons learned.

Market Intelligence

  • Establish a structured process for monitoring competitors, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Work with Sales to identify target sectors, customers, and geographic opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor marketing and positioning.
  • Provide relevant market intelligence to Sales and senior management.

Budget & Supplier Management

  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Evaluate marketing suppliers and negotiate appropriate commercial terms.
  • Assess the return and effectiveness of major marketing expenditure.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of B2B marketing experience, including responsibility for marketing planning and delivery; industrial/manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Fluent English communication skills; Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to take full ownership of a marketing department and its deliverables.
  • Ability to operate proactively rather than relying on senior management to generate marketing activities.
  • Experience establishing clear plans, responsibilities, and deadlines for a marketing team.
  • Ability to hold team members and external suppliers accountable for delivery.
  • Strong understanding of marketing activities that support measurable commercial objectives.
  • Experience maintaining visibility of marketing activities and performance through structured reporting.
  • Ability to continuously identify opportunities to improve company visibility and market positioning.
  • Ability to build an efficient marketing function appropriate to the size and requirements of the business.
  • Ability to recommend changes to resources, responsibilities, suppliers, or processes where these would improve effectiveness.
