Your impact

Jacobs is looking for a talented Mechanical BIM Engineer to join our Cities and Places team in Dubai. In this role, you will support the delivery of mechanical design documentation and BIM models across a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with project BIM requirements, industry standards, and Jacobs’ digital delivery strategy.

In addition, you will be responsible for

• Developing and maintaining high-quality Mechanical BIM models using Revit MEP and related software.
• Producing accurate mechanical design drawings, schedules, and project documentation.
• Coordinating mechanical models with architectural, structural, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Participating in BIM coordination meetings and resolving clashes through collaborative workflows.
• Supporting the implementation of project BIM execution plans, standards, and quality procedures.
• Managing model updates and ensuring compliance with project-specific BIM requirements and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols.
• Assisting in model audits, quality checks, and data validation activities.
• Supporting the adoption of BIM best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across project teams.
  
  
  

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP for mechanical BIM modeling and documentation.
• Experience in the coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Strong multidisciplinary BIM coordination and engineering documentation review experience.
• Working knowledge of ACC/BIM 360, Navisworks, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and BIM delivery standards.
• Experience with clash detection, model reviews, and virtual coordination workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and project delivery.
• Experience supporting BIM best practices and mentoring team members will be considered an advantage.
