Your Day to Day:

As MICE Sales Manager – Wedding Specialist, you will drive new business and revenue across MICE, weddings, and non-residential events, with a strong focus on Indian destination weddings and opportunities across other international markets. You will build client and partner relationships, manage sales opportunities from enquiry to handover, and maximize rooms, catering, venue, and total event revenue in line with the hotel’s commercial objectives.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Develop and execute sales strategies for MICE, weddings, and residential and non-residential events in line with the hotel’s commercial objectives.
• Proactively identify and acquire new business through corporate accounts, wedding planners, event agencies, DMCs, associations, and other strategic partners.
• Drive destination wedding business, with a strong focus on Indian weddings, while developing opportunities across GCC, Western, international, and multicultural markets.
• Manage MICE, wedding, and event opportunities from initial enquiry and site inspection through proposal, negotiation, contracting, and operational handover.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat business, referrals, and long-term partnerships.
• Maximize total revenue from room accommodation, room blocks, F&B, banqueting, venue rental, multi-day wedding functions, and other ancillary services.
• Work closely with Revenue Management and the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop pricing strategies, evaluate business opportunities, and maximize profitability.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, conduct regular sales calls and client visits, and participate in roadshows, exhibitions, and networking events to drive conversion.
• Coordinate with Reservations, Events, Banquets, Culinary, F&B, Finance, Rooms, and other departments to ensure accurate contracting and seamless delivery of confirmed business.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, account performance, and sales KPIs while maintaining accurate records and achieving assigned revenue, room-night, and business development targets.
  
  

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel sales, preferably in MICE, weddings, or events.
• Strong experience in business development, account management, and converting new business opportunities.
• Knowledge of destination weddings, preferably the Indian wedding market, and residential and non-residential events.
• Established relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event agencies, and DMCs are an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proactive, target-driven, and commercially focused, with excellent spoken and written English.
• Previous experience in an international luxury hotel is an advantage.
