Key Responsibilities
- Paint Technician is responsible for the proper preparation & application of painting materials and customer components to ensure that the paint applied to the components is of the highest standard, in accordance with organization's procedure and customer specifications.
- Carry out correct preparation of components for painting by masking, abrading, cleaning, paint stripping and refinishing according to procedures.
- Prepare paint materials according to instructions and measure viscosity as per relevant paint specifications and customer requirements.
- Carry out paint application using various application methods and tools to satisfy customer requirements.
- Data collection and recording in relevant forms and documents as required, ensuring all relevant documents have been signed off correctly after completion of work.
- Verifying all working carried out has been done correctly and signing off documents.
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness and orderliness of paint workshop and equipment used in paint preparation, application and testing
- Adhere to all health and safety precautions;
- Address to EPI Quality Standards and ensure the product meets customer expectations;
- Proactively communicate and address safety concerns
- Effective utilization of paint materials & Consumables
- High School Diploma & Trade Certification as a Painter or Relevant vocational Certification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Painter Technician
- Experience operating various Painting Equipment’s & various application methods (Experience on Spray Application is a must)
- Previous work experience in NADCAP Certified environment is a plus
