About The Role
The Physical Training Instructor is responsible for delivering structured physical training sessions that develop recruits’ fitness, resilience and overall readiness in line with programme standards. Working under the direction of the Chief Instructor – PT, the role ensures safe, effective and consistent training delivery, while monitoring performance, supporting progression and reinforcing discipline and motivation across all phases of the programme.

About The Role
The Physical Training Instructor is responsible for delivering structured physical training sessions that develop recruits’ fitness, resilience and overall readiness in line with programme standards. Working under the direction of the Chief Instructor – PT, the role ensures safe, effective and consistent training delivery, while monitoring performance, supporting progression and reinforcing discipline and motivation across all phases of the programme.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Physical Training: Conduct planned PT sessions safely and effectively, ensuring activities align with training objectives and approved programmes.
- Monitor Performance: Assess recruit fitness levels, track progress, identify those needing additional support, and maintain accurate performance records.
- Maintain Standards & Discipline: Enforce physical performance standards consistently while promoting discipline, motivation, and engagement among recruits.
- Ensure Safety & Readiness: Prepare training areas, equipment, and session plans, while implementing injury prevention measures and safe training practices.
- Report & Coordinate: Maintain attendance and incident records, report to senior instructors as required, and collaborate with other instructors to support overall training outcomes.
- Relevant qualification in physical training, sports science or related field
- Experience delivering physical training
- Experience in structured or disciplined environments (military preferred)
- Military PTI background preferred
- Experience in large-scale training programmes
- Experience instructing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- Advanced or specialist certifications (e.g. strength & conditioning, rehabilitation, endurance training)
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaching or belt certification
