Job Purpose


Provide support to the international Operations department in facilitating and managing the operations and development of the DACH, Belgium, & Netherlands market strategy. Provide support to the internal DCT Abu Dhabi team and external stakeholders to activate the market strategies by conceptualizing, preparing and organizing marketing and promotional work, and creating the right initiatives in collaboration with DCT relevant sectors and departments to increase the DACH, Belgium, & Netherlands hotel guest numbers in Abu Dhabi


Key Responsibilities


Planning and Implementation Plans



  • Supports in planning and implementation of the holistic B2B and B2C strategy for the regions’ market in-line with the department’s priorities and defined strategy and goals.

  • Assistants in coordinating the collaboration between DCT Abu Dhabi and stakeholders from the private sector to develop a the regions’ promotions plan to promote leisure visitations in Abu Dhabi.

  • Provides support in working closely with the Events Bureau, Visitor Experience Department and others aiming to stay up-to-date with right products and events, and ensure that the right products are promoted and activated within the regions’ market plan in-line with the defined strategy.

  • Conducts continuous research to provide insights about the local market developments, customer preferences and trends, and ensure effective contribution to develop tactical marketing plans with DCT central MarComms Sector’s team.

  • Use creativity and understanding of the regions’ markets to conceive interesting plans and partnerships in-line with the defined strategy and plans.

  • Support in providing information services to travel & tourism agencies and stakeholders about products and value proposition of tourism in Abu Dhabi, and lead the conduction of sales calls with travel trade (e.g. Destination Management Companies).

  • Gather and manage contacts, including profiling and inputting contacts in the systems to maintain data in a timely manner as directed by the line manager.

  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager

  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

  • Demonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization



  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Business Administration, Tourism, Marketing or any other decree within relevant industry.

  • 0 to 2 years’ of experience in Strategic Management, Tourism Management or any similar role, preferably in the tourism field.

  • Proven experience in an international fast-paced and dynamic environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge in the Local Region landscape is preferred.


Skills



  • Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing

  • Arabic bilingual desirable but not mandatory

  • Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)

  • Administrative skills and attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to complete work in a timely manner

  • Expert knowledge on rebates schemes, preferably accustomed with UAE best practices

  • Experience with business planning

  • Extensive experience with program management related to finance and policy

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors

  • Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, anticipate consequences, and provide excellency in execution: committed to deliver work with high standards of quality
