Principal Structural Engineer

Job Purpose

As a Principal Structural Engineer at AESG you will provide strategic technical leadership and oversight for major/complex building projects. The role sets technical direction, leads multidisciplinary coordination, acts as the senior technical authority for projects, and supports innovation, quality assurance, and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the structural engineering function for major projects from concept through completion.
• Define project technical strategies aligned with client objectives, regulations, and delivery requirements.
• Review and approve complex structural designs, calculations, and specifications.
• Act as the primary technical authority in client and project meetings.
• Provide expert mentorship to senior engineers, engineers, graduates, and BIM teams.
• Oversee quality assurance, technical audits, compliance checks, and design reviews.
• Drive innovation in structural engineering, including advanced analysis, BIM-enabled workflows, and parametric/digital tools.
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Support technical proposals, presentations, and pursuit activity for new work.
• Ensure strong HSE and quality culture across projects.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 12-15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in concrete, steel, and advanced structural analysis.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong business acumen and ability to contribute to growth initiatives.
• Chartered or equivalent professional registration preferred.
