Product Manager (Payroll & Business Services)

Role Summary

You will initially lead our payroll products, owning the experience from business setup and payroll preparation through salary payments, reporting and servicing. You will also identify and develop adjacent business services that remove operational complexity and create ongoing value for customers.

This role combines customer understanding, strategic product thinking and operational execution. You will lead new propositions from discovery through launch while improving the adoption, reliability and performance of products already in market.

We are looking for a product builder who can turn complex financial, regulatory and operational requirements into experiences that are simple, accurate and trusted.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap and performance of payroll and related business services.
• Work with the Botim Business Product Executive to identify customer needs, market opportunities and areas of differentiation.
• Establish payroll as a strong foundation while identifying relevant adjacent opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities based on customer value, strategic fit, commercial potential and operational feasibility.
• Translate customer, regulatory and business needs into clear product priorities.
• Balance immediate delivery with the longer-term development of the portfolio.
• Own the end-to-end experience through which businesses set up, prepare, approve and process payroll.
• Simplify payroll activities for business owners, administrators and finance teams.
• Develop intuitive experiences for employee management, payroll review, salary payments, reporting and servicing.
• Ensure customers have clear visibility of payroll status, funding requirements, fees and processing timelines.
• Create effective experiences for payroll adjustments, exceptions and failed payments.
• Use customer insight and product data to improve activation, completion and retention.
• Identify recurring operational problems that Botim For Business can solve for customers.
• Lead new business-service propositions from discovery and validation through launch and iteration.
• Develop connected experiences that reduce administrative effort and make everyday business activities easier to manage.
• Test customer demand and commercial viability before committing to scale.
• Ensure new services complement the broader Botim For Business customer experience.
• Establish clear measures of customer value, adoption and operational efficiency.
• Own the product capabilities required to process payroll and deliver business services reliably at scale.
• Define requirements across setup, approvals, funding, processing, payments and reconciliation.
• Work with Engineering and external partners to deliver secure, resilient and scalable integrations.
• Support integrations with relevant payment, banking, regulatory and business systems.
• Improve automation, visibility and controls across end-to-end operational journeys.
  
  

Requirements

• 6–10 years of product management experience, preferably in payroll, fintech, payments, banking, HR technology or B2B software.
• A strong track record of building and scaling products used in businesses’ day-to-day operations.
• Experience leading complex products from discovery and validation through launch and iteration.
• Understanding of payroll workflows, salary processing, reconciliation or payment operations.
• Experience working with regulated products, operational platforms or money-movement capabilities.
• Ability to identify opportunities beyond an initial product area and build a coherent portfolio.
• Ability to work across customer experience, technical infrastructure, compliance and operations.
• Strong analytical, commercial and product judgment.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with the UAE Wage Protection System or comparable regulated salary-payment schemes would be preferred.
