Clinical:
The Clinical Psychologist’s clinical duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Conduct comprehensive age-appropriate psychological assessments for adults and pediatric patients, covering cognitive, emotional, behavioral, personality, and adaptive functioning.
  • Perform detailed diagnostic evaluations using standardized, validated psychological tools appropriate to developmental level, cultural context, and clinical presentation.
  • Identify patients requiring advanced or specialized psychological assessment and coordinate referrals to appropriate licensed professionals when necessary.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, family therapy, play therapy, behavior therapy) tailored to the needs of adults, adolescents, and children.
  • Conduct individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy as clinically indicated.
  • Deliver health and behavior interventions to support coping, adjustment, emotional regulation, and adherence to medical rehabilitation programs.
  • Identify and report any signs of clinical deterioration, neglect, or safeguarding concerns in accordance with organizational and DOH policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong therapeutic boundaries and ensure safe, ethical practice with both adults and children, respecting cultural and developmental needs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rehabilitation planning, ensuring psychology goals contribute to overall patient recovery and quality of life.
  • Participate actively in clinical and rehabilitation ward rounds, MDT meetings, and case conferences to support integrated, patient-centred care.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Provide psychological guidance to team members regarding behavioral strategies, communication approaches, and cognitive-emotional considerations.
  • Accurately document all clinical encounters, assessments, and treatment plans in a timely manner, adhering to DOH, JCI, and facility guidelines.
  • Communicate clinical findings and progress updates to patients, families, and relevant team members (with appropriate consent), ensuring clarity, sensitivity, and cultural awareness.
  • Review results of investigations and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure timely and appropriate care.
  • Provide education, psychoeducation, and counseling to families and caregivers, supporting understanding of diagnosis, behavior management, and emotional needs.
  • Evaluate newly referred patients and provide recommendations for ongoing psychological support.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, informed consent, safeguarding responsibilities, and adherence to all DOH and facility legal and ethical requirements.
  • Promote a culture of empathy, professionalism, respect, and team-based care within the rehabilitation environment.
  • Comply with organizational policies related to admissions, consultations, patient care, prescribing (if applicable), and discharge procedures.
  • Participate in committees, working groups, training programs, and organizational initiatives as requested.
  • Perform other clinically relevant duties consistent with the role and organizational needs.
  • Participate in the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processes.
  • Maintain ongoing competency in adult and pediatric psychological practice through continuous professional
development, structured training, and evidence-based practice review.

for the detailed list of job-specific competencies applicable to this role. These include core clinical,
technical, and behavioral competencies relevant to both adult and pediatric psychology practice.
  • Renew and validate job-specific competencies every two years or as needed in conjunction with the
performance-appraisal process to ensure ongoing compliance with DOH, and international standards and to
support continuous professional growth and service-quality improvement

8. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL
PREFERRED

Education
  • Education that meets DOH PQR which leads for a License in Clincal Psychology.
Additional CBT and Cognitive Rehablitaion experience.

    Experience
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as, post certification in related field.
    3 Years + Clinical Experiece

      Certification and Licensure
      • Valid DOH License
      • Valid BLS provider certificate

      Job Specific Knowledge and Skills
      • Expertise psychological assessment and interventions

      • Health Behavior Assessment and Intervention (HBAI) services, Falimy therapy, Group therapy
